Editorial Policy
Last updated: May 2026
GroundInk's editorial decisions are guided by one principle: does this story matter to ordinary Indians? If yes, we want it on our platform.
Our Editorial Mission
GroundInk exists to strengthen independent journalism in India. We platform stories that hold power accountable, amplify local and regional voices, and bring ground-level reporting to a national audience.
What We Publish
We accept and publish journalism that:
- Affects the daily lives of ordinary Indians
- Holds governments, institutions, or corporations accountable
- Amplifies voices from underreported regions and communities
- Exposes scams, fraud, or civic failures
- Documents ground-level realities that mainstream media ignores
Creator Independence
GroundInk does not direct creators on what to report. Creators bring their own stories, their own sources, and their own investigations. We provide the platform, the formatting, and the reach.
We do not edit a creator's findings or conclusions. We may edit for clarity, language, and structure — never for substance.
What We Do Not Publish
- Content that incites violence or hatred against any community
- Unsubstantiated personal attacks on private individuals
- Content produced by or on behalf of political parties
- Paid or sponsored content presented as journalism
- Plagiarised or fabricated reporting
Right of Reply
Where an article makes serious allegations against an individual or institution, creators are encouraged to seek a response before publication. Where a response is received, it will be included in or appended to the article.
Corrections
We correct errors promptly and transparently. See our Corrections Policy.
Independence
GroundInk does not accept advertising, sponsored content, or political funding. Our editorial decisions are not influenced by commercial or political interests.
